  • Google Looks into Stylish Tech with Glass reports Top Ranks

(I-SoftwareNews.Com, March 09, 2013 ) England, UK -- They may look like something out of a science fiction movie, but Google's glasses are transporting its wearers to a new world of style, wherein the internet is directly in the line of vision. However, for those who see those wearing the classes, the view is even stranger than those who dawn the glasses. Someone wearing a computer processor, a battery, and a tiny screen on their face is not exactly a normal picture for the average person just yet.

As Google, and other tech companies, began working toward wearable tech gadgets, the industries fashion has not exactly been set. There are unique problems and interesting options that still have to be looked into for the average company. While brands like Apple and Sony may have specific styles they can look to as a blueprint, certain companies like Google have no real foundation to work off of. Still, each company must find a way to find their own fashion style in this brave new world where geek meets chic.

Google is now negotiating with Warby Parker, an e-commerce start-up company that sells eyeglasses in order to help design more fashionable frames. Both companies have refused to comment on the talks.

The move is just one example of companies like Apple, Nike, Jawbone, Pebble, MetaWatch, and Misfit Wearables, which are all looking in to dealing with technology/fashion strategies.

Google recently started accepting applications to choose small groups of individuals to buy early versions of glasses, called Google Glass. It hopes to sell Glass to the broader public, according to those who were briefed on the technology.

The frames are without lenses, through Google is looking into experimenting on adding sunglass or prescription lenses for particular versions eventually. The glasses have a tiny screen which appears larger from the wearers perspective. Glass wearers will be able to take pictures, record video, all without using their hands.

The Glasses reach the Internet via WiFi or Bluetooth, which will connect to wireless services on the user's cellphone.
