(I-SoftwareNews.Com, September 12, 2014 ) Waltham, MA -- The New England chapter of the Society for Technical Communication (STC) begins its 2014-2015 season with a presentation by localization expert Dorothy van Lingen on Wednesday, September 24. Ms. Van Lingen will present "How to Effectively Manage Your In-Country Translation Review Process." Attendees will learn how to improve the quality of localized technical communication by bringing an in-country reviewer into the translation and localization process.
Ms. Van Lingen, a native of Marlboro, Mass., is especially well qualified to present on the topic. As the Net-Translators' Director of Localization Strategy, Ms. Van Lingen guides her clients through localization best-practices and provides solutions to clients' ever-changing localization needs. Ms. Van Lingen has studied numerous foreign languages and holds an MBA in International Business.
STC New England is pleased to welcome Ms. Van Lingen as its first speaker of the 2014-2015 season. The event will take place on Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Burlington, Mass. It includes dinner and the presentation. The cost is $25 for STC members, $35 for non-members, $20 for unemployed professionals, and $15 for students. As an alternative, you can attend the presentation as a webinar for $15.
