(EMAILWIRE.COM, February 10, 2011 ) SAN DIEGO, CA, February 10, 2011 – The Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA), the leading association for today’s technology services organizations, announced a world-class keynote lineup for the upcoming Technology Services World Silicon Valley (TSW SV) conference, being held May 2-4, 2011 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. The below presenters will engage and inspire conference attendees and provide definitive answers to today’s toughest services challenges.
David Pogue is a New York Times personal-technology columnist, author, and television personality. He is also an Emmy Award-winning tech correspondent for CBS News and appears each week on CNBC with his trademark comic tech videos. During his TSW SV keynote discussion, Pogue will share his views on the role services organizations play in helping end customers handle the issue of product complexity. In addition, he will serve as a panelist at the TSIA Vision Awards Competition at Service Revolutions.
William Steenburgh, senior vice president of Xerox Services, will share the industryÂ’s first in-depth case study of an organization that has reinvented itself around value-added services and how Xerox is strategically using services to drive growth. His presentation will provide a high-level perspective of the Xerox journey to become the worldÂ’s largest enterprise for business process and document management, and the transformative changes theyÂ’ve made to create a services organization whose primary focus is driving customer product consumption and increasing customer value.
Services that lead to consumption are fast becoming the key to account growth. J.B. Wood, president and CEO of TSIA, will discuss the role of services in growing profitable account revenue. Wood will share some provocative thinking around the major upcoming revolution in the traditional go-to-market sales model.
TSIA executive director Thomas Lah will share “The Cloud: One Year Later,” which will explore how far the industry has come since the kickoff of the TSIA Cloud 20 Index in 2010. Lah also will discuss other trends that are unfolding as the global economy recovers, as well as where the industry is headed in the next three to five years.
Rounding out the keynote lineup are Anand Eswaran, vice president, Global Professional Services Software & Solutions, Hewlett-Packard, and José Duarte, president, Global Services, SAP, responsible for SAP Consulting, SAP Education, SAP Custom Development, and SAP Maintenance Go-to-Market. In their separate keynote discussions, these industry leaders promise to provide insightful and thought-leading content of vital interest to technology services professionals in many lines of the business.
“We are bringing engaging and visionary presenters to the center stage at TSW Silicon Valley,” said J.B. Wood. “With so much happening in the world of technology services, service professionals could easily lose sight of why they got into the business in the first place: to deliver on the good promises they make to their people and to their customers. This keynote lineup will provide insights from some of the industry’s most sought-after authorities on topics that matter to the company, to the employee, and most importantly, to the customer.”
