(EMAILWIRE.COM, April 09, 2011 ) SAN DIEGO, CA, April 8, 2011 – The Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA), the leading association dedicated to advancing the business of technology services, announced the conclusion of its Technology Services Europe (TSE) 2011 conference, held April 7-8 in Berlin, Germany. Co-presented by TSIA and CFSM International, the TSE event revealed current trends, challenges, and opportunities in the European marketplace—issues such as driving product adoption, delivering services in a consumption-based product delivery model (e.g., cloud and SaaS), and effectively leveraging social media in service operations.
Each year, the leading European technology organizations look to this conference to provide professional development for their up-and-coming managers and leaders, while others see it as an opportunity for their senior executives to gain key industry insights on strategy development. TSE 2011 gave European services professionals the opportunity to learn, engage, and share solutions and best practices with their peers. Breakout sessions offered specific service-discipline areas of focus, featuring case studies and lessons learned.
Keynote presentations from influential leaders at Compuware, EMC, Endress+Hausser, Novabase, and Siemens Healthcare addressed the issues dominating business conversations at all levels of the organization, with an in-depth view of key service strategies for success. TSIA executive director Thomas Lah discussed the “Disruptive Forces in Technology Services,” where he outlined three trends disrupting traditional service business models—cloud computing, utility computing, and the shift in major markets—and how to address the challenges surrounding these issues. And TSIA president and CEO J.B. Wood presented the closing keynote, “The Changing Role of Services in the Sales Process,” providing provocative thoughts around the major upcoming revolution of the traditional go-to-market model.
“The information delivered at TSE guides and directs technology services professionals as they achieve new levels of success in their respective organizations,” said Wood. “These constituents came together under one roof to be in the presence of and learn from peers and like-minded professionals from across Europe who face the same challenges they do every day. Attendees came away feeling connected and tuned in to the future of technology services in the European corner of the globe, and we are proud to be a part of that.”
