(EMAILWIRE.COM, September 07, 2011 ) SAN DIEGO, CA -- The Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA), the leading association for todayÂ’s technology services organizations, announced that former IBM executive Sally Foster has joined the TSIA team. She will serve as a vice president of research and will lead TSIAÂ’s efforts in industry benchmarking, research, and thought leadership in the areas of support and field services.
Prior to joining TSIA, Foster served as a services executive within IBM with a specialty in the areas of security and storage. Prior to IBM, she served as a vice president of customer support at Internet Security Systems. She also previously was president and CEO of Atlanta Career Center, CEO and COO/president of ComputerJobs.com, general manager and vice president of Clarus Corporation, vice president of business operations for Dun and Bradstreet Software, and contracts manager for Electronic Data Systems/General Motors.
“Sally has been responsible for global support organizations serving over 10,000 customers,” said Thomas Lah, executive director of TSIA. “She understands the challenges of delivering a world-class support experience, and we’re very pleased to have her as part of the TSIA Research team.”
Foster’s responsibilities will include driving the TSIA research agenda related to the fast-changing world of technology support services. “There is no doubt that trends such as cloud computing are changing the rules for technology service organizations,” said Foster. “I’m excited to have an opportunity to help my peers in this industry as they navigate the significant changes ahead.”
