Recurring Services for Cloud Computing—Part 1: Build the Right Foundation Now highlights new customer engagement models that ensure customer success and revenue growth. The report also includes case studies on the roles account managers/renewal specialists play for their subscription-based clients.
Authored by TSIA vice president of research for service revenue generation, Julia Stegman, the research was released in conjunction with Technology Services World 2012 Best Practices, now in session through May 9.
The report reveals the significant revenue growth opportunities that can be realized with cloud computing, but only if the right foundation is in place. With the customer demand for cloud computing solutions and the promise they represent, it’s vital that service leaders inside technology companies have a well-thought-out service strategy and new customer engagement models in place before moving to subscription-based services.
“Technology companies are rapidly evolving to provide some type of offering that is subscription based. And one thing every company agrees with is that subscriptions are a challenging business model,” says Stegman. “These reports will help service leaders navigate the uncharted waters of cloud adoption with a focus on profitable revenue growth.”
