(I-SoftwareNews.Com, May 08, 2013 ) SAN DIEGO and SANTA CLARA -- Christina Kosmowski, vice president at salesforce.com, was the keynote speaker at the Women in Services (WIS) networking dinner held at Technology Services World 2013 Best Practices last night. The three-day conference, hosted by TSIA, is the preeminent source of learning and peer networking in the services industry.
Christina Kosmowski is vice president at salesforce.com, where she runs the Customers for Life Organization for the Western Region. She has held this role for three years, which entails consulting, support, and account management functions. Kosmowski studied industrial engineering at Northwestern University, where she led the Society of Women Engineers and was captain of the varsity women's soccer team. Post-graduation, she worked at Tenneco Packaging as a manufacturing engineer and then went on to work for a consulting company, Inforte, which focused on e-business software applications. One of her main projects was implementing software for the Palm Pilot support center. She then went on to work for salesforce.com and has watched it grow from 200 to over 12,000 employees.
In her keynote presentation, Kosmowski shared her story of key decisions, roles, and opportunities that enriched her both professionally and personally.
“The Women in Services dinner is a main highlight of our TSW events,” said Diane Brundage, senior vice president of membership development for TSIA and head of Women in Services. “It brings together a prestigious group of industry thought leaders and offers a unique opportunity for them to discuss business and career issues, network, collaborate, and become inspired.”
A portion of the dinner ticket price and chance drawing tickets are donated to Dress for Success San Diego and Dress for Success San Jose. Dress for Success is a charity organization that provides business attire and career counseling for financially challenged women.
