(EMAILWIRE.COM, March 19, 2010 ) SAN DIEGO, CA, March 19, 2010 – The Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA), the leading professional association of the services and support industry, announced that April Kelly, senior director, customer operations at LinkedIn, will keynote the Women in Services (WIS) networking dinner to be held at Technology Services World 2010 Silicon Valley on Tuesday, May 4. The conference, hosted by TSIA and themed “Clouds on the Service Horizon,” will take place May 3–5 at the Santa Clara Convention Center.
Kelly specializes in cultivating high-performance, customer-centric customer-centric teams in the areas of customer service, account management, sales, and quality assurance. She successfully established elite service teams for both PayPal and LinkedIn, creating much of the infrastructure both service centers enjoy today. In addition, she is the CEO of the Gratitude Academy and author of Gratitude at Work: How to Say Thank You, Give Kudos, and Get the Best from Those You Lead.
Says Kelly about her participation at Technology Services World: “This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other women professionals, and the mentoring aspect of the event is especially rewarding. The Women in Services initiative is an exciting and powerful platform for women executives and professionals in services and beyond, and I am pleased to be a part of it.”
The Women in Services dining and networking event affords participants access to senior women executives in services to discuss business and career challenges. A portion of the dinner ticket price as well as chance drawing tickets will be donated to Dress for Success San Diego, a charity organization that provides business attire and career counseling for financially challenged women.
Women in Services was created to provide a unique and dedicated forum for professional members of TSIA. The WIS steering committee includes senior executives from globally recognized industry leaders salesforce.com, Cisco Systems, Exigen ELITE, Digital Hands, NCR, Symantec, Informatica, Sun Microsystems, Hitachi Data Systems, EMC Global Services, rL Solutions, BMC Software, Approva, Intergraph, Oracle, Xerox, and Hewlett-Packard.
Additional Women in Services events at TSW 2010 Silicon Valley include two breakout sessions: “Women in Services: Profiles of Success,” a high-powered panel of woman service leaders who will share their career paths, key decisions, and learnings that helped shape them as professionals; and “Professional Development: Mentoring for Professional and Business Development,” featuring a panel of member companies and mentoring consultants who will discuss the keys to successful mentoring programs that impact not only the professional but the business as well.
