(EMAILWIRE.COM, August 16, 2010 ) SAN DIEGO, California, August 13, 2010 – The Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA), the leading association dedicated to advancing the business of technology services, announced five Technology Services World (TSW) sessions that are tightly focused on the growing business of education services. Technology Services World 2010 Las Vegas takes place October 18-20 at The Mirage Resort and is anticipated to be the largest technology services event of the year.
In May 2010, TSIA added Education Services to its core disciplines of Field Services, Professional Services, and Support Services—the driving forces of today’s technology services industry. TSIA focuses its research, programming, services, and thought leadership around these key service disciplines. The five education services-focused TSW sessions are outlined below.
In “Business Levers to Go from Surviving to Thriving in Education Services,” TSIA education services director Maria Manning-Chapman will discuss key findings from the new TSIA Education Services Benchmark study, options for maximizing an organization’s current education services business model, and key industry trends impacting the business of education services.
Terry Vyas, director of educational services for BMC Software, and Dan Klein, group vice president of SAP Business Objects Education, will present “Go-to-Market Strategies for Education Services.” Attendees will learn strategies for successfully releasing a new education services offering into the market.
Jesse Finn, vice president of worldwide education services for Taleo, and Dean Paul, senior manager of Taleo Proficiency Solutions, will present “Expanding the Education Portfolio through Rapid Content Development.” Attendees will gain a solid understanding of the planning required for a rapid content development methodology with a highly flexible tool kit.
Peter Broderick, Kronos vice president of educational service and service business development, will present “How to Drive Revenue Growth.” This session targets organizations that are running their education business as a P&L with direct distribution, but is also applicable to partner and distributor models as well. Broderick will explain how an increased focus on metrics, organizational structure, and go-to-market strategies can impact business growth.
And in “Education Innovation,” Wayne McCulloch, Hewlett-Packard global director of software education, will discuss how recent innovations in education can help organizations enable their customers to extract the full value of their IT investment.
“With TSIA’s expansion into the Education Services discipline, assembling this group of industry leaders is a powerful addition to the TSW conference program,” said Diane Brundage, TSIA senior vice president of membership development. “We are excited to host this event where education services executives can come to learn, and go back to work with a new tool kit that they can immediately put to use.”
TSW events have a strong reputation for delivering impactful content, presented by key players in technology services. Visit www.technologyservicesworld.com for more details on the event. The agenda can be found at www.technologyservicesworld.com/fall10/agenda.php.
