(EMAILWIRE.COM, July 25, 2011 ) SAN DIEGO, CA -- The Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA), the leading association for today’s technology services organizations, announced a Technology Services World Las Vegas pre-conference Professional Development Course hosted by TSIA’s “Women in Services” group. The session, titled “Getting to the Top: Strategies for Career Success,” will take place October 24, with course leader Kathryn Ullrich, founder and president of Kathryn Ullrich Associates and associate director of Alumni Career Services at UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Created four four years ago by TSIA, Women in Services provides a unique and dedicated forum for professional members of the association.
Ullrich, author of the award-winning career development book, Getting to the Top: Strategies for Career Success, will share the lessons learned from six years of hosting Getting to the Top® programs at Stanford Graduate School of Management and UCLA Anderson School of Management.
Using stories shared by vice presidents and CEOs from Adobe, Cisco, eBay, HP, Symantec, Xerox, and other leading organizations, Ullrich will lead a highly interactive workshop where attendees will learn:
• How to take control of their own development for career resiliency.
• How to use a career strategy to guide career development.
• Understanding career paths.
• Leadership skills to prepare for the future.
• How to develop a career action plan for career success.
Ullrich will discuss cutting-edge research on career paths to the top in customer support/technical support and professional services. She also will share stories of the successful career paths and leadership skills needed for professionals in the customer service profession.
