(EMAILWIRE.COM, March 20, 2012 ) SAN DIEGO, CA – The Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA), the leading association for today’s technology services organizations, held its Technology Services Europe (TSE) 2012 conference March 15-16 in Berlin, Germany. Co-presented by TSIA and CFSM International, the TSE event revealed current trends, challenges, and opportunities in the European marketplace—issues such as consumption economics, gaining revenue through service innovation, adapting a services business for the cloud, a blueprint for starting a support community, and smarter maintenance requirements for a smarter planet.
Each year, leading European technology organizations look to TSE to provide professional development for their prevailing managers and leaders, while others see it as an opportunity for their senior executives to gain key industry insights on strategy development. TSE 2012 gave European services professionals the opportunity to learn, engage, and share solutions and best practices with their peers. Track sessions offered specific service-discipline areas of focus, featuring case studies and lessons learned.
Keynote presentations from influential leaders at Bender Group, McAfee, SAP, and Siemens Enterprise Communications addressed the issues dominating business conversations at all levels of the organization, with an in-depth view of key service strategies for success. TSIA executive director Thomas Lah discussed “Consumption Economics Today” and “Introducing TSIA’s New PS Organizational Development Program,” while TSIA CEO J.B. Wood spoke on “Consumption Economics: The New Rules of Tech” and “Services Getting a Seat at the Corporate Strategy Table.”
“The content presented at TSE guides technology services professionals as they strive for improved business results in their respective organizations, and illustrates best practices specific to the European technology services market,” said Wood. “These constituents came to Berlin to learn from peers and like-minded professionals who are facing similar services challenges. Attendees came away with actionable ideas and greater insight into the future of technology services in the European corner of the globe, and we are proud to make that happen.”
“TSE is an excellent way for services executives from around the globe to meet and exchange best practices on both what is currently going on in the market, and how the market is evolving in order to plan for our future,” said Patricia Murphy, McAfee vice president of EMEA Professional Services.
