  • Bluetooth Software Download Website Reports SteelSeries to Release Bluetooth Controller Designed to Enhance Mobile Gaming

(EMAILWIRE.COM, January 28, 2012 ) Copenhagen, Denmark -- Gaming peripherals manufacturer, SteelSeries, is due to release a slick new Bluetooth controller designed for tablets and smartphones. It has a native and familiar feel in the hands making it very congenial for console gamers.

    The Controller Features

When gamers lay their eyes on the new SteelSeries Ion Bluetooth controller, they might mistake it for other familiar console controllers like that for PlayStation or Xbox. ThatÂ’s actually the idea of the brains in the SteelSeries think tank to have this downloadable software be seemless. They intended to present a gaming controller that has that classic look to enhance the gaming mood of anyone playing games on their tablet or other similar device.

That plus the fact that many of the newer games being created for mobile devices are fast coming to par with the qualities of todayÂ’s console games puts the Ion Bluetooth controller in friendly terms with current trends. Not only is the timing perfect, the design really kicks in very well.

ItÂ’s pretty obvious that the touch controls on handsets and tablets donÂ’t exactly have that convenient gaming feel. With that familiar feel in a playerÂ’s hands, the gaming experience for tablets and smartphones is raised several notches up. The layout of the buttons on the Ion Bluetooth controller is no less than what everyone is used to.

It doesn’t feel overwhelmingly huge in a player’s hand. It’s in fact about the size of a standard deck of cards – only 18 mm thick, 108 mm in length, and 55.5 mm in width. The controller is lightweight, which makes it easy to hang on to and store. Another plus is the fact that it doesn’t need any wires, which is the in thing nowadays.

The buttons on the Ion Bluetooth controller can be remapped – in short, the buttons or keys are absolutely customizable. Players can remap the buttons depending on the device they are playing with. That having been said, this controller works on various platforms whether it’s on a PC or a mobile device.

Battery life is always one of the standard issues when it comes to mobile devices. The manufacturers are happy to report that the Ion Bluetooth controller performs quite nicely on that department. This controller is charged with a lithium-ion battery that packs 20 hours of sleek performance with only a single charge. Players donÂ’t have to quit the game when the battery on the controller is drained of its juice. They can charge the unit even while the game goes on.

    Where to Buy

With all these great features, the next question in many peopleÂ’s minds is where they can get the SteelSeries Ion Bluetooth controller. SteelSeries products are available in chain stores such as Best Buy, Game Stop, and Micro Center.

The only drawback, if anyone would like to know, is the fact that the price for this slick game controller hasnÂ’t been announced yet. Gaming enthusiasts will have to wait until further announcements and until controller units hit the store shelves.
